Ispmanager use cases

This article describes the most common uses of ispmanager. By following the instructions below, you can quickly and easily create various web projects.

A business card site

A business card site is a web page or set of web pages designed to provide information about a business, services, or personal information. This type of site consists of static content and does not require dynamic page generation.

Items required

  • a domain name directed to the server with ispmanager control panel;
  • web server.

Steps to create a business card site

1. Install any Apache, Nginx, or OpenLiteSpeed (OLS) web server.   

2. Create a website using the control panel.

3. Upload the necessary files to the site directory.

4. Open the website and make sure it's working.

A dynamic website is a complex structure of pages based on one of the popular content management systems (CMS).

Items required

  • a domain name directed to the server with the panel;
  • a web server that supports the selected CMS;
  • appropriate PHP version;
  • database server.
This may result in different configurations depending on the combination of web server and PHP version you choose.

Steps to create a dynamic site

1. Install the required web server: Apache, Nginx, or OpenLiteSpeed (OLS).      

2. Create a website using the control panel.   

3. Install the CMS and PHP handler.

4. Configure database server.

5. Open the website and make sure it's working.

Mail server

A private mail server with multiple mail domains and your own mail client.

Items required

  • domain name directed to the server;
  • mail server;
  • mail client.

Steps to create a mail server

1. Install the mail server and mail client.

2. Create a new email domain in the control panel.

3. Add the required number of mailboxes.

4. Configure DNS records and email SSL certificates.

To ensure that mail is accepted by popular mail servers, make sure that all mail DNS records are configured correctly.

5. Use the installed mail client to check the operation of mailboxes.

WireGuard server

The WireGuard server is an option for the configuration of VPN on a server with ispmanager.

Items required

  • ispmanager control panel

Steps to create a WireGuard server

1. Install WireGuard.

2. Create a VPN user.

3. Set up an appropriate VPN client on the device from which you want to access the network.

If multiple connections are planned, each client must be configured separately.

4. Log on to the network using the configured VPN tunnel.

Shared-hosting site

Creation of full-fledged hosting with ispmanager panel where you can manage your sites. Each client receives a personal account with its own login, the ability to create sites, mail domains and manage software configuration.
