Ispmanager 6 lite, pro, host documentation

System requirements

We recommend that you choose a fault-tolerant dedicated or virtual server that is based on hypervisor virtualization or OVZ container virtualization.

Warning!
Ispmanager must not be installed on the same server with BILLmanager, DNSmanager, IPmanager or any other ISPsystem product.

Hardware requirements

The main load on the server is provided by the sites located on it. We advise you to keep in mind that sites with databases and mailboxes use more server resources.

ComponentRequirements for the control panelRequirements for the control panel and up to 10 websitesRequirements for the control panel and more than 10 websites
CPU1 core1 core2 core or more
RAM1 Gb2 Gb or more3 Gb or more
Disk space10 Gb20 Gb or more50 Gb or more

We recommend allocating all disk space for the root file system.

Note!

It is recommended to have at least 4 Gb of RAM to ensure efficient operation:

  • when using alternative database versions on a server with ispmanager;
  • when selecting MySQL database server during installation.

Software requirements

We strongly recommend to install ispmanager on a "clean" server. You should install a minimal version of the operating system, all the services that ispmanager requires will be installed automatically during software installation.

Note!
  • To ensure the best software performance, do not connect any third-party repositories.
  •  When installing ispmanager on an OVZ virtual server, check that the version of the OS kernel on the host server is not less than 2.6.32-042stab134.
  • The server with the control panel must use the static IP address specified in the network interface configuration file. If the IP address is assigned to the server using DHCP, the correct operation of the control panel is not guaranteed.
  • Use the OS server version, desktop OS version is not supported.
  • You should install the panel on the server with the latest minor version of the operating system.
  • Do not change the major version of the OS, otherwise technical support will not be provided.

Supported operating systems (x64):

  • AlmaLinux 8, 9;
  • Debian 11; 12;
  • Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04 (recommended);
  • Rocky Linux 8.

CloudLinux OS SHARED also supported.

Since January 2022, support for CentOS 8 has ended. Installation and operation of the control panel on a server with CentOS 8 is not supported. You can migrate to AlmaLinux 8 OS according to the instructions.

Updates on servers with an outdated OS

Technical and consulting support is only available for 6 months from the operating system EOL date.

Firewall settings

Open the following ports to allow incoming and outgoing connections:

  • 21/tcp — to send data via FTP;
  • 22/tcp — for remote access to a server via SSH;
  • 110, 143, 993, 995, 587, 465, 25/tcp — to send and receive emails;
  • 80, 443/tcp —  to handle user requests to websites on the server with ispmanager;
  • 1500/tcp —to access the ispmanager interface;
  • 1501/tcp - to run external applications via SSL;
  • 53/tcp, 53/udp — for domain name servers;
  • 3306/tcp — for remote access to the database server.
Note!
In order for the license to work properly, you must make sure that the control panel port is set to 1500. This port plays a key role in ensuring that the licensing mechanisms work properly.
Note!

To ensure uninterrupted access to the license servers, make sure the following server addresses are always available:

212.109.222.131
212.109.222.143
144.76.174.134
