You can install LSWS together with ispmanager (lite, pro, or host). If ispmanager is already installed, LSWS can be added via “Modules.”
A trial mode is activated automatically if no valid LSWS license is found in your ispmanager billing account at the time of installation. Alternatively, when choosing LSWS during ispmanager installation via the command line, you can enter TRIAL to request a free trial license.
Through ispmanager, you can purchase a LiteSpeed license to work with the ispmanager control panel. If you need a standalone LiteSpeed license (not tied to ispmanager), you can buy one directly from the official LiteSpeed website.
LiteSpeed is fully compatible with Apache configurations (.htaccess, mod_rewrite, mod_security), but it delivers better performance and efficiency. It uses an event-driven architecture instead of a process-based one, handles more connections with less server load, and includes built-in LSCache for dynamic content acceleration.
LiteSpeed combines the flexibility and compatibility of Apache with the performance and scalability of Nginx. Unlike Nginx, LSWS supports .htaccess and mod_security, includes a built-in cache for dynamic content, and is easier to configure.
