Error "You have insufficient permissions to access the domain name"
Symptoms
When attempting to create a site on a subdomain that is linked to another user's main domain, the "You have insufficient permissions to access the domain name" error appears.
Causes
The main domain and all its subdomains belong to a single user. Consequently, any other user is unable to utilize them. The panel does not allow the creation of sites on subdomains of other users' site domains by default.
Solution
In ispmanager 6 lite, pro and host users who do not own a domain can be enabled to use a domain name by adding the line Option InsecureDomain
to the panel configuration file /usr/local/mgr5/etc/ispmgr.conf
.
After saving the changes, please restart the panel:
/usr/local/mgr5/sbin/mgrctl -m ispmgr exit
In ispmanager 6 business, you can configure policies for different owners for domains, enabling users to utilise the domain names of other users.
PLEASE NOTE!
The described function may compromise the security of the system, as it would allow any users to create subdomains for any domains. We recommend that you only enable it if you are sure you need it. For security reasons, it is disabled by default.
