Types of licenses

Types of licenses

 

To use the control panel, you will need an appropriate license. The term of licenses and the possibility of renewing them depend on the date of purchase and the operating system (OS) used. When the license expires, operation of the control panel becomes unavailable and recurring tasks will be stopped. In this case, settings of websites and databases will be saved.

Note
The ISPmanager 5 control panel does not work with the license for the ISPmanager 6 control panel.

Trial license

A trial version is an ideal solution for getting started with a control panel without any time or functional limitations. ISPmanager trial is valid for 14 days.

Note
A trial license can be activated if a trial or a commercial license has not yet been activated on the server. Otherwise errors will appear in the log file /usr/local/mgr5/var/licctl.log when trying to activate:
  • TRIAL_AFTER_COMMERCIAL — failed to activate the trial license after activating the commercial license;
  • TRIAL_ALREADY_USED — failed to activate the trial license after activating another trial license.

Licenses for control panels with supported operating systems

ISPmanager 5 Business currently supports the following 64-bit versions of operating systems:

  • CentOS 7;
  • CentOS 8.

The term of the license and the possibility of renewing them depend on the date of purchase. If the license has been purchased:

  • before 10.00 UTC 08.04.2021 — the license will be valid until its expiration date. Support within the LTS phase will be provided until the end of the license period;
  • from 10.00 UTC 08.04.2021 to 14.06.2021 — the license can be renewed and will be valid until the date not later than 31.12.2021.

Licenses for control panels with unsupported operating systems

If you are using ISPmanager 5 Business on a server with an unsupported operating system, your license will be valid until its expiration date. You can renew your license in your client area at my.ispmanager.com.

Technical and consulting support for such licenses is provided until December 31, 2021.

Free licenses

ISPmanager 5 Business is no longer available under free (trial) licenses. If you need a trial license to upgrade your control panel to ISPmanager 6, please send a request to ISPmanager technical support via your client area at http://my.ispmanager.com .
