Policy settings

Control panel policy specifies conditions for managing the actions the control panel performs.

Main

  • Overselling — select the check box to allow overselling. Overselling enables resellers to offer more resources to their users irrespective of the limit that was allocated to that reseller by the administrator
  • Cluster nodes allocation policy — the control panel will create users on different nodes depending on the allocation factor selected below.
    • Allocate depending on user number — a user will be created on the node that has the minimum number of users.
    • Allocate depending on load — a user will be created on the node that has the minimum amount of the resource usage.
      • Load-based algorithm
        • Disk space (usage, %) — a user will be created on the node that has the minimum amount of disk space usage.
        • RAM — a user will be created on the node that has the minimum amount of RAM usage.
        • CPU — a user will be created on the node that has the minimum amount of CPU usage.
  • Roles for automatically found IP addresses — select a role that will be assigned to IP addresses that are automatically found on the node's interfaces.
    • Shared — can be assigned to any user of the control panel.
    • Service — cannot be assigned to users of the control panel.
  • Create user UID starting with — a control panel will assign UIDs to newly created users starting with this user.
  • Minimum % of ready cluster nodes — the control panel will forbid to execute distributed queries and user creation queries if the percentage of "Ready" servers is less than this value.

Prefix policy


  • FTP-user prefix — select the checkbox to add the username to the newly created FTP-user to prevent the creation of FTP-users with the same names by different users of the control panel.
  • Database prefix — select the checkbox to add the username to the database to prevent the creation of databases with the same names by different users of the control panel.
  • Database user prefix — select the checkbox to add the username to the database user to prevent the creation of database users with the same names by different users of the control panel.

Other policies


  • Do not check domain owners — select the check box to allow users to create domain names, if subdomains of a higher-level belong to other users.
