In ispmanager lite, pro, and host, we’ve added the ability to limit the number of emails that can be sent per hour so you don’t get blocked for sending spam. This comes in handy when, for example, a user on shared hosting decides to set up a spam email campaign.

This update has been included in the 6.106.0 beta release.

The administrator will be able to set the limit for:

✓ All mailboxes: Mail → Spam Protection → Message Limit.

Here's what you'll see when you follow this path:

✓ Mailboxes chosen by a user: Users → Create User or Change User Settings.

✓ A single mailbox: Mail → Create a mailbox or Change mailbox settings.

Important:

❗️If you specify “1” in the “Number of emails to be sent” field, no emails will be sent. This is a feature of the Exim configuration.

❗️ If you configure several limits, for example, a general one and one for a specific mailbox, the most “subordinate” one of the list will be applied. In our example, that would be the mailbox limit.

❗️ Only the administrator can edit the limits.
