DNSmanager integration with other software products

All major hosting companies strive to provide integrated name servers to their customers. With DNSmanager you will be able to do this for all kinds of hosting: shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers.

ISPmanager integration

Task

You have two name servers (ns1.hoster.com and ns2.hoster.com) running the DNSmanager control panel. You wish all domains that are created by users on shared hosting, virtual servers or dedicated servers to be automatically created on our name servers. Later, all changes in these domains should be translated to ns1.hoster.com and  ns2.hoster.com

Task solution

1. In each DNSmanager a separate user is created for each server running ISPmanager  (Documentation).
2. In the ISPmanager settings there specified parameters to access DNSmanager: IP-address, user name and password that were previded on the first step.

When finished, any domain zone created on any server running ISPmanager  will be automatically created on the first name server and second name server (ns1.hoster.com and ns2.hoster.com). All changes in this zone will be translated on the name servers. 

VDSmanager integration

With the VDSmanager control panel you can customize integration with DNSmanager. When creating a virtual server, DNSmanager access parameters will be automatically specified in its ISPmanager (if it is installed). All other operations will be carried out according to the scheme described above.

Follow the instructions below to customize integration of VDSmanager and DNSmanager:

• Create a "Reseller" user account on the servers with DNSmanager installed (Documentation).
• In the VDSmanager parameters specify the permissions to access name servers  (Documentation).

As a result the name severs system will be fully automated for all you virtual servers.
